The Dog Trouble Foundation was established by Jo Cottrell, owner of Dog Trouble Behaviour, Training and Wellness Centre, to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome pre-owned and rescued dogs.  Dogs are considered onto the programme through an assessment process to determine their health and behaviour issues. Following their rehabilitation, dogs are found the appropriate homes where they will succeed in life. Those who for physical or behavioural reasons cannot be rehomed, have a home with Dog Trouble for the rest of their lives.
