Volunteer

There are many ways in which volunteers can make a real impact here at the Foundation. Whether it's on a regular weekly basis or at our events during the year, including monthly Pack Walks, Easter and Christmas specials, and the annual Fun Day, volunteering is one of the best ways in which you can help support our work and make a real difference to the dogs' lives.

Find Your IDEAL Volunteer Role

Roles may be in person or remote - working from your home, car, Starbucks! Most are for regular volunteers on a daily or weekly basis, but we also welcome volunteers we can call on to help with events during the year.

Volunteering FAQs

Do I need specific skills to volunteer?

Some roles require specific skills e.g. Admin Assistants need to have IT skills, but others just require you to be reliable, committed and flexible.

Will there be any training?

Yes, it's important that all members of the team feel confident about their skills and responsibilities. Induction and ongoing training will be provided.

Who can volunteer?

Our volunteer roles are for over 18 year olds. There are lots of different roles available at the Foundation and we welcome volunteers with different interests and skills.

How much time will I need to give?

Each role involves different amounts of time, and volunteers vary in the amount of time they can contribute. We therefore work with our volunteers to create a work schedule that covers the tasks involved. The most important thing is that we have volunteers we can rely on.
